Getting rid of the position here in the closing call

Hoping for a nice end of the day!

Long position

Bought some shares of ERIC. Probably I will keep them for the last hour of trading (67.50).

ERIC today

ERIC has advanced and then declined. I have a slight positive feeling and am willing to buy around the 67.50-.60 area.

Covering my short position

We saw a nice trend today that I managed to capture a nice portion of. Covering here at the close.

Short

Now the short position is on (67.75)

Daytrading today?

Dear Friday traders,
Today has not given us much of volatility so far. For me the same strategy as yesterday, shorting on a downside break-out, feels like it could be useful today. I will wait and see because I at the same time I have the feeling there could be a lot to do on the upside if only the positive move somehow could be triggered.

What do you say about that fully hedged analysis? can't go wrong, right?! Blog ya soon

Covering half of the position

ERIC continues to be weak. Covering half of the position before the call procedure, and half of it in it.

Short

Forgot to update, but I shorted from 68.10 a few minutes after 4 o'clock in line with the weak outlook I described in my previous post.

Update

Back in the b again but yet no ERIC-trade today. The general trend is strong, but ERIC is so weak so weak. Wanted to short it earlier but I have to stay along the sidelines for a bit awaiting further development.

Today

I was prepared to go short, and still would on a downside break-out. Howeve it's time for me to check out from trading for a couple of days, I have some travelling to do. See you again in the middle of the week!

New week

New week, but no new trading yet. Watching ERIC B closely and I am thinking about selling it short. If it breaks below today's low my finger will most likely hit the button..

Day in halves

Today is divided into two. One part following the market and one part relaxation. As the stock market closes in 2 hours in Stockholm I doubt there will be time to find meaningful trades today. I will stay by the screens for some more time though, so maybe..

Sold it

No more bull for now. Sold the position here at 69.40

Long

Trying the same recipie one more time. Long from 71.10

Bull it was, but what about today

Congrats to all that stayed in the market longer than I did yesterday. Bull really was the name of the game. Today we are seeing a different market. I remain on the sidelines until the picture has become clearer..

Markets and holidays

I am back in the B after some very refreshing holidays. Normally I try to use this time of the year for holidays since I often find it hard to take money out of the markets and the weather in my dear Sweden tends to be less encouraging why leaving for a while seems a good thing to do.

Just some thoughts on the markets. Below is the Stockholm OMXS30 over five years. We are in an accumulation zone that has many similarities with the one we saw in 2008.

A closeup of 2008 gives us:

Some major turning points are marked. Now let us look at the current chart pattern:

Marking the same turning points in this chart shows the similarities. Last time, in 2008, when we saw number 5 the big decline broke loose. About the same amount of time has elapsed this time as in 2008 from the first major decline had stopped and the recovery with the points 1-5 started. Remains to be seen is wheather the same thing will happen this time or if the markets are stronger now and will break out on the upside instead. In either case, if the markets will start to show weakness from here the picture from 2008 could be good to bear in mind..

How this story will end is something that the year of 2012 will give an answer to. I would like to thank all who have read this blog during the fall and wish you all some very happy holidays!

to be continued..

Holidays

It is time for me to go for a few days of holidays. Does not seem to be much action in the markets today. Has the Christmas stand-still already begun? For those of you that are still in the markets I hope it has not. Blog ya later! Sayonara

Update and closing the trade

Not sure we will see so much more decline in ERIC today. Entered the short position at 67.75 and then the price went up a little just before it bottomed at 67.20. I just closed the position at 67.55.

Weak ERIC

Today ERIC is weak. Trying a short one, in line with the news flow.. (67.75)

Today summarized

Today I was looking for a profit on the short side. Was .1 SEK from hitting my order to buy at 69.3, but the good old ERIC turned around at 69.40. I covered the short position at the closing price 70.35 resulting in a minor loss. Time for some good ones now as the trading has been somewhat weak lately.

Update

Going for lunch but will remain with the position to around the area 69.20-69.30.

Short

Pre-lunch shorting ERIC B at 70.10
